.ON JULY 31ST pictures of a Russian Mi-8 transport chopper, crashed and burning, started circulating on social media. That by itself was actually not unique: Ukrainian powers have shot down ratings of helicopters because the Russian intrusion started. A lot more surprising was actually the claim in the Ukrainian press that this helicopter had been actually downed by a small drone. An online video launched by the country's armed forces a couple of days later seemed to lend support to that case: the video footage (see listed below) reveals a drone striking yet another Russian airplane, this time an Mi-28 attack helicopter, supposedly requiring it to make an unexpected emergency landing. Were these blessed favorites-- or signs of a development in aerial combat?
